Camille S. Peterson, nee Schooff, age 85, of Grosse Pointe Park, MI, died November 29, 2018, in Morton Grove, IL. Mrs. Peterson was the first woman to be elected to the Grosse Pointe Park City Council. She was also a Past President of the PTA, a Master Bridge player and a longtime member of Sweet Adeline’s. Beloved wife of Robert J.; dear mother of Drew (Cyndi), Robert Jr. (Suzanne), Jeffrey, Jennifer (Michael) Kalas, and Bradford (Kirsten); loving grandmother of fourteen; fond sister of Kenneth (Betsy) Schooff, Carol (Henry) Zeiter, and Judy (Rodney) Shroyer. A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, January 5, 2019, at 10 a.m., at St. Peter Catholic Church, 8100 Niles Center Rd., Skokie, IL. Camille was a great loving woman, that sang with the East Pointe/Shoreline Sound Chorus as a bass. She was founding member and loved all the contests wherever they were being held. All of the chorus will be thinking of her tonight - our rehearsal together. Bless her and her family for taking good care of her in her time of need.

I was so sorry to learn about Camille. I had lost track of her in recent years. How well I remember her when we were parent class sponsors for the class of 1984 at South. I knew very little about South let alone float building. I learned SO much from Camille and she was very patient with me. We had a good time together AND it turned out to be a great class. My sympathy to you for your loss.
