Blanca, Elias, George, and Robert Talhami moved to Northbrook and met my parents, Albert and Rosemary Joseph. Over many years a close relationship grew between our families. But my mother and Blanca became especially close. Blanca’s many personal traits and talents included her needlework and fabric creations, her wonderful cuisine, as others have said. Her sweetness also. But she lived in many countries, spoke several languages, had many stories to tell. I am so glad for the good times I was able to have with her and will remember her with love.

Remembering the phone calls we had up till a few years ago. I think of her every time I make green beans and tomato sauce because they never taste as good as hers! I treasure the cross with purple stones on a chain that she gave me one visit around 2014 when she learned I had become an ordained Interfaith Minister. I wear it for any service I perform, and always will. Sending much love to you all.
