I remember Wayne as a soft-spoken gentleman, an adoring husband to Evie, a wonderful father to his children, a man to be admired.I remember a two day trip too Hartzell, Colorado with Wayne and Evie. While Wayne read in the cabin our first evening in Hartzell, Evie and I practiced putting on makeup while we giggled and pampered ourselves. Evie and I became frightened when we heard a tapping on the window, over and over again. We summoned Wayne, who opened the door and inspected the window. A small bird, which he released, had become trapped between the window and the screen. Our hero!My condolences to his family members and all the friends he made along his life journey. Beverly A. Simpson, Cousin on Evie's side of the family.
