Alliene B. Edson, nee Billard, age 90, born November 20, 1930, died peacefully at Highland Park Hospital, in Highland Park, IL. She was living happily at Lincolnwood Place, surrounded by pictures of her beloved husband, Harvey O. Edson, who preceded her in death, and his family, whom she loved dearly. She was a spunky, happy, positive spirit, who loved fiercely and cared deeply for family, friends, and her work in New York, New Jersey, and Chicago. She shared her time unselfishly, volunteering to read and visit at the Presbyterian Home in Evanston and working with teens at the YWCA in Chicago. She was born in Staten Island, NY, graduated from Hunter College, and worked at Haskins & Sells (now Deloitte) in New York City, where she met the love of her life, Harvey. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Gussie Billard. Her family includes step-daughter, Elizabeth Edson Chapleski; grandchildren, Mark (Audrey) and Scott (Colleen) Chapleski, Jennifer Chapleski (Vince) Dudinec, and Christina Edson; seven great- grandchildren, Ali and Haley Chapleski, Johnny and Jason Dudinec, Jack and Kai Chapleski, and Connor Edson. Even as her brain became ‘cloudy,’ she always remembered who they were and how much she loved them and the many Great Lakes gatherings they had shared over the years. Funeral Services are private.
